A Chromium Skull and Cross Bones Car Mascot/Radiator Cap

on bakelight screw cap, first quarter of the 20th Century. A thread runs through the scull to a hole in the top which enables excess stream from the radiator to escape.One can imagine the pleasure pedestrians derived from seeing this.
