Palace to Parlour- Regency & Victorian Glass at the Wallace Collection

In 2003 the Glass Circle announced it would be presenting the first ever exhibition in London devoted to Regency and Victorian glass.

The exhibition would have around 250 pieces, mainly loaned by members of The Glass Circle, but with additional items on loan from private collections and museums such as Broadfield House Glass Museum, The Museum of London and the V&A. The exhibition reflected the diversity of glass produced in Britain for consumption both here and across the Empire, and contained many rarities such as the Copeland Vase.

The Copeland Vase, from the V&A, is an appropriate exhibit for the Wallace Collection as it originally belonged to Sir Richard Wallace, who acquired it at the Vienna Universal Exhibition of 1873.
